Snakebite kills a farmer in Jamalpur

In a tragic occurrence today, Babul Mia, 50, a farmer from Nalsandha village in the Pinna union of Sarishabari upazila, died after being bitten by a snake. The terrible situation occurred around 1:20 p.m., while Babul was going home from his farm after cutting grass for his animals.

According to local sources, Babul was promptly transported to the Sarishabari Upazila Health Complex. However, when doctors arrived about 4:30 p.m., they proclaimed him dead. According to Dr. Mehdi Hasan of the health complex, Babul’s death was caused by a delay in his arrival at the hospital.

Musfiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sarishabari Police Station, acknowledged the circumstances and offered his condolences to the dead family. This instance emphasises the importance of seeking medical assistance as soon as possible after being bitten by a snake to avoid tragic effects.
